So we did quiling in class and we are to answer two questions.
1.) Have you ever heard of quiling before? I have never heard of quiling before. 2.) What did you think of quiling? Would it be something you would try again? I did not like quiling at all. I found it to be very tedious and it was not enjoyable. I prefer sketching rather than rolling up paper and gluing it down and making an image. I would most likely not try this again.

So we did some exercises on drawing noses, eyes, and lips. I feel like I could really improve upon the eyes and the lips, but I really was happy with the noses. So for this project, we are trying to capture reactions and proportions. It is essentially what I did for my previous project. I decided to be a bit unconventional and go with 3D printing as my medium. I really want to focus more on the proportions and I plan on doing that through 3D printing. I thought it would be awesome to 3D print Iron Man's Gauntlets as those look amazing and have a lot of detail. I am trying to scale it to fit me. I will only do the arm as I do not want the project to drag on. I don't have much to show except for this trial run of the forearm. It is not to scale but I just wanted to see how well it would come out I will update the blog when I have more scale pieces done and hopefully the entire thing.
Here is my new project (and its actually finished this time!). It is called Artists Answer Essential Questions! So I decided to answer the question "How real is real?". In order to answer this question, I decided to draw a portrait of my good friend. If anybody remembers, I did a portrait all the way back in the Art 1 Tab. The difference is that back then I was eye balling it, but now I have actually used grids to try for a more accurate representation of the person. One thing I have noticed is that whenever I take a picture of the portrait, it doesn't look accurate to the actual picture, but when I look at it in person, it looks fairly accurate. Weird, huh? Anyway this took me a while, and I really wish that you could see it in person!
Okay so I finally finished the project and I am extremely happy with how it turned out! I might even put it in a frame.
Alright so this is part two of this unit. Basically the final project for this unit. I haven't finished my project but its progressing. I'm really happy with how it is turning out.
So basically my idea was to draw my ideas coming out of my head. So I made a stencil of my face and spray paint it onto a piece of board. Next I drew somewhat evenly spaces lines. These lines will be a rainbow since I thought it would be cool to make it look somewhat like The Dark Side of the Moon Album by Pink Floyd. I am currently painting these lines with Acrylic Paint. I really wanted to use different mediums to convey myself. And then I simply drew multiple characters that I thought would be difficult to draw. And they were! So yeah, I'm not finished yet but I hopefully will be next week! Hello everybody I am back!! So my teacher encouraged the class to watch and follow art tutorials. I found many different tutorials but ended up following one. I will put the links to the tutorials below the pictures. So the tutorial i followed was How to Draw Saitama (One Punch Man). The tutorial seemed interesting and challenging and so it intrigued me. Mine did not turn out perfect, but hey its been a while. 1.) How to Shade in 3 Different Ways http://youtu.be/bVDiDy5zb5Y
