The question I am going to reflect upon is "How are stealing and coping different?". Copying is just make an exact replica of something original that somebody else created. Stealing is taking one's idea, but adding things that make it different and a whole new work of art. During this unit, I stole multiple times. I remixed Link, from The Legend of Zelda, and painted him in a parody of Rene Margritte's The Son of Man. Here is a photo:

I'm back! Sorry about not posting lately. I have been really busy. So for the Artist Steal Project I have created a parody of the Obama Hope Poster. Instead of Obama, I put Naruto on the poster. I basically drew Naruto onto a large sheet of paper and cut out the dark areas with a X-acto knife. I then just spray painted using the stencil onto another large sheet of paper. I added "Believe It!" in place of "Hope" because "Believe It!" is something Naruto says a lot. I will update again soon and it will probably be a reflection on this project. See you all then!
Reflecting on the project? Why not?! The question to reflect on is: "Did you learn new techniques or processes as part of the work for this project?" I definitely learned how to draw better lips and mouths. That was a huge obstacle for me, but I managed to learn how to draw them properly. I watched many YouTube tutorials and practiced a few times until I felt that I got the hang of it. Everything other part that I drew was from prior knowledge.
Now for the more exciting news. I am starting on a new project called Artist Steal. I am going to be mixing up some characters or drawing one character in a certain art style. I will update once I have an idea for the project. See you all soon! Alright, this is most likely going to be my final draft. I have not finished some shading, but I thought I might as well update you guys now. So yeah. Nothing has really changed except I made the lines on the neck more smoother like brush strokes. That is about it. I will update you either later today or sometime tomorrow!
Hey guys. I have some kinda sad news. I won't be able to do the final blog post about my Color Me Katie Project because somebody took my shadow down or it was stolen. It was not in the spot in which I stuck it up or in the nearby areas. I put a lot of time into that seeing that I did not have someone to trace me and that I had to sketch the whole thing to scale. So yeah. I just wanted to let you know about that. But I will be putting some other projects that I am doing soon. See you all soon.
Here is a little update on the artist observe project. I decided to remove the blush from the face because it was kind of making her look like a clown. I did a little more touch-up to the shading and hair. Going to try some more aesthetic details and will update you guys soon.
On another note, I received over 48 hits recently! Thank you all very much! If you like this, go ahead and show this to anybody you that may be interested. I would like to do daily updates, but of course there are other factors that may get in the way. Once again, thank you all and I will talk to you again soon. Here is my artists observe project!! I drew a portrait of my mom. This is probably my final draft for the project, but I will see if there are any improvements I can make.
Enjoy! While coming up with an idea for my artists observe project, I decided to try my hand at a photo of a crocodile. THIS IS NOT MY ARTISTS OBSERVE PROJECT! For the artists observe project, I am planning to do either a urban sketch or a nature sketch.
Anyway, I will update again soon with more sketches and projects! Here is my Color Me Katie Project! I made a silhouette of a person meditating. It is meant to create the illusion that the shadow is alive and playing with the person who walks by. The shadow is supposed to be "floating" just to show that the shadow is playing around with the person who walks by. I will post a photo soon when I have captured a picture of somebody falling into my trap.
